Road Routes

Mulberry Pub
  • Time: 6.30pm (for a 6.45pm start)

Goring Cricket Club

  • Limited free parking on the roadside

Please note that the route involves going straight down Ilex Way. If the conditions aren’t suitable, we’ll turn left out of Fernhurst Drive and go round on Goring Way. This will add a maximum of 500m and the rest of the route is unaffected.

The Eight Pubs – Thomas A Becket

  • Free parking in the car park on Poulters Lane (about 50m away)

Count the pubs! All routes go past Thomas A Becket, John Selden, The Park View, The North Star, George and Dragon, and The Vine. The longer routes may go past the Sussex Yeoman and the Cricketers as well.

Sea Lane Cafe

The Broadwater

  • Parking is a bit tricky here. There’s a paid car park opposite (Rectory Gardens: £1.40 for two hours), a free car park behind KFC for 90 minutes, or some residential parking on a road nearby.
New Amsterdam

Swallows Return

  • Limited parking options. Parking at the Swallows Return for customers only. Additional parking at Highdown Rise, possibly Northbrook college, or a nearby residential street.
Bost Hill
  • Time: Run starts at 6.45pm. Meet from 6.30pm onwards.
  • Meeting Point: Bost Hill car park, Bost Hill, Worthing BN13 3DD (Google Maps)
  • Parking: Free parking in the car park
  • Routes: 8.1km / 6.1km / 4.9km
  • Optional drink afterwards in the Refreshment Rooms
The Gun Inn, Findon
  • Time: 6.30pm (for a 6.45pm start)
  • Place: The Gun Inn, High Street, Findon BN14 0TA (Google Maps)
  • Parking: It’s a bit tricky for parking round here, so definitely recommend getting there a bit early. Parking is free on the roads and there’s small car parks at Findon Village Hall (here) and School Hill (here). The Black Horse Inn also has a car park for customers.
  • Optional drink in The Black Horse Inn afterwards. (We contacted the Gun and apparently they’re full. The Black Horse is an 8-minute walk from the Gun.)

Honeysuckle Lane, Clapham

  • Optional drink afterwards at the Refreshment Rooms pub, 4 minutes walk away

River Rife
  • Starting point at Sea Lane Cafe

  • Ample free parking in the car park adjacent to the cafe
Dover lane
  • Time: 6.30pm (for a 6.45pm start)
  • Place: Dover Lane, Angmering BN18 9PX (Google Maps)
  • Parking: There is a large free car park. However, due to the fact that it’s a bit outside of Worthing, please consider offering lifts to other runners.
  • Optional drink in the Fox or Worlds End pub afterwards

Options of routes: 10.4km, 8.5km and 5.7km. That’s 6.5 miles, 5.3 miles and 3.5 miles respectively in old money. If the weather is good in the days before, road shoes should be perfect.

Adur Avenue, Durrington

Brooklands, Lancing

Canadian Flag
  • Meeting Point: Canadian Flag on Worthing promenade (at the bottom of Grand Avenue), West Parade, Worthing BN11 3RA (Google Maps)
  • Parking: Plenty of free parking available along the seafront or on Grand Avenue
Fernhurst Drive, Goring
  • Meeting Place: Outside the Goring Cricket Club, Fernhurst Drive, Goring-by-Sea (Google Maps)
  • Parking: Plenty of residential parking available on Fernhurst Drive and surrounding roads
The Gallops, Findon Valley
  • Meeting Place: The Gallops, Findon Valley, Worthing BN13 3DE (Google Maps)
  • Parking: Residential parking available on Vale Drive and surrounding roads
Highdown Rise (Football Fields)
  • Meeting Point: Highdown Football Pitches, Highdown Rise, A259 (Google Maps)
  • Parking: There is a small car park at the bottom of Highdown Rise, or a much bigger one at the top of the hill at Highdown Gardens.
Henty Arms
  • Meeting Point: At the bottom of Langleys Lane, on the North side of the A27. BN14 Meeting Point: The Henty Arms car park, Ferring Lane, Ferring BN12 6QY (Google Maps)
  • Parking: If you’re planning on having a drink afterwards (or before, we don’t judge) then you can probably park in the pub car park. Otherwise, there’s a bit of residential parking on Langbury Lane.
Lambleys Lane
  • Meeting Point: At the bottom of Langleys Lane, on the North side of the A27. BN14 9JX. (Google Maps)
  • Parking: Plenty of parking available at Lyons Farm retail park (outside B&Q, Lidl, etc.)
Longcroft Park
  • Meeting Point: Longcroft Park, Durrington, Worthing BN13 2TY — specifically in the park where it meets Woodpecker Way (Google Maps)
  • Parking: Parking available at Tesco Extra Durrington, which is less than a half-mile walk/jog from Longcroft Park
Nepcote Green
  • Meeting Point: Nepcote Green, Nepcote, Findon, Worthing BN14 0SL (Google Maps)
  • Parking: There’s a tiny car park here if you’re early, but otherwise there’s bit of residential parking a short walk away.
Princess Avenue
  • Meeting Place: Princess Avenue, Worthing BN13 1AS (Google Maps)
  • Parking: Plenty of residential parking available on Princess Avenue
Sea Lane Cafe

  • Parking: There is plenty of free parking available in the school. This is a pain to get to by public transport though, so please offer to carshare.
