New to running? Returning after a long pause or injury? All of our runs are designed to cater for a mixed range of abilities, and all paces and fitness levels are welcome.

Tuesday, 9th December
  • Time: Session starts at 6.45pm. Meeting up and warm-up from 6.30pm onwards.
  • Meeting Point: Canadian Flag on Worthing promenade (at the bottom of Grand Avenue), West Parade, Worthing BN11 3RA (Google Maps)
  • Parking: Plenty of free parking available along the seafront or on Grand Avenue

Amelia to lead. Two blocks of twelve minutes, with a short break in between. Increasingly long efforts on the way out, with increasingly long recoveries on the way back. Run to the first lamppost, and then jog back; run to the second lamppost, and jog back, etc. For the second round of 12, start off where you finish and get shorter each time (i.e. 5, then 4, etc.) and see if you can complete before the timer ends! As a Billy Bonus, some team relays to finish.

Thursday, 11th December
  • Time: Run starts at 6.45pm. Meet from 6.30pm onwards.
  • Meeting Point: The Castle, 7 The Strand, Goring-by-Sea, Worthing BN12 6DL (Google Maps)
  • Residential parking available, but parking at Worthing Leisure Centre might be your best bet
  • Routes:  13.5km // 9.8km .. 6.7km
  • Optional drink afterwards in The Castle

Brand new set of routes. Chosen this pub has it seems home to the BIGGEST INFLATIBLE SANTA CLAUSE EVER.

FRIday, 12th December
Tuesday, 16th December
  • Time: Meet from 6.30pm onwards. Time Trial to start at 7pm promptly.
  • Meeting Point: On the promenade at the bottom of Heene Road, Worthing (Google Maps)

Same one-mile route for all: Starting next to the shelter on the promenade at the bottom of Heene Road (w3w: ///blur.share.fries) and heading east, round the three flagpoles outside the Lido, and back again. Finish line is back over the start line.

Obviously, this is only as serious as you want to make it, so please bring the vibes, encourage everyone else, no matter if you’re completing it in five minutes or fifteen minutes.

Thursday, 18th December
  • Time: Run starts at 6.45pm. Meet from 6.30pm onwards.
  • Meeting Point: Thomas A Becket, 146 Rectory Road, Worthing BN14 7PJ (Google Maps)
  • Free parking in the car park on Poulters Lane (about 50m away)
  • Routes:  10.5km // 8.3km // 6.5km
  • Optional drink afterwards in the Thomas A Becket
Tuesday, 23rd December
  • Time: Run starts at 6.45pm. Meet from 6.30pm onwards.
  • Meeting Point: Goring Cricket Club, Fernhurst Drive (Google Maps)
  • Limited free parking on the surrounding roads
  • Routes:  12.2km // 10.0km // 8.0km
  • Optional drink afterwards in The Cricket Club or The Bull

Tonight’s routes are a bit of a tour of the best Christmas lights in Goring-by-Sea, the highlight being the famous Saxifrage Way lights.
